Even if they lack the measurables or skill, we're socialized to recognize effort as a positive.
I think this may have been part of the problem with Darko and Delfino. They had more skill and great measurables, but neither is really a high energy player. Sort of like Tay.
We can learn to appreciate both, but in short minutes, it's easier to make an impact running around like a berserker than waiting for the sweet play to develop or execute. |
