Re: Amir Johnson - Detroit Piston Tracker Looks like 6'11" is probably the minimum and he still might be growing. Quote:
Amir’s OK
by Keith Langlois AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – Amir Johnson gave the Pistons their first scare of training camp Friday night when he crumpled to the court under the basket, grabbing at his left ankle. But X-rays were negative, Johnson took treatment on Saturday morning and the Pistons say his status is day to day. Johnson, a 6-foot-11 forward who came to the Pistons out of high school in the 2005 draft, spent most of his first two seasons on the inactive list or in the NBA Development League, but all that time he spent in practice against All-Star-caliber players like Rasheed Wallace, Ben Wallace, Chris Webber and Antonio McDyess and solid old pros like Dale Davis and Nazr Mohammed have him poised to crack the rotation this season. In the Pistons’ open practice at Oakland University on Thursday night, Johnson scored 12 points and made a jaw-dropping move on 7-foot-1 rookie Cheikh Samb, exploding past him, scoring and drawing the foul. | AJ is the man.
