Coach Flip Saunders joked before the Pistons played the Pacers on Friday night that he'd know what went wrong if Indiana waltzed to an easy win.
In the spring of 2006, he wanted to hire now Pacers coach Jim O'Brien as a Pistons assistant. It didn't work out, but at the time, Saunders lent O'Brien his massive playbook.
"And he never gave it back to me," Saunders said.
