We most likely aren't going up or down in the standings unless Boston has a major injury to one of their big three.

It seems to me that there can be only good coming from letting AJ get 5 - 10 minutes a game.

You can't gain experience during practice.

Besides, all players have weaknesses and all have some skills. How much if anything is he going to hurt us in 5 - 10 minutes a game?

If we had a serious chance of passing Boston and someone like Brezec could help us do it then I can see playing him ahead of AJ. But the first is a long shot and the second is non existent.

I was all for keeping AJ on the bench at the beginning of the year because I wanted to see how our starters were performing. If you look at Dyess's performance lately it has fallen off. I don't believe he can carry the minutes we are giving him.

Maxey has improved a lot but he still can't rebound. I thought his rebounding might improve this year to where it was adequate. But it is not.

So things have changed from what I thought would be the situation and as I see it playing AJ 5 - 10 minutes a game is a win only situation.

A good thought. I would think that brining AJ in at around 7 min mark of the first quarter would put him in a position to learn where Sheed being vocal on defense could help, and he will learn the offensive schemes better, especially since he won't be counted upon to be a go-to guy. In addition, having the best starting 4 on the court with him can cover for his shortcomings.
