Amir has played 10% of the total possible minutes. The same as Stuckey.
Bresec was a starter for Charlotte. He started 18 of 20 games before he was traded. If he were an NFL player, that would be the entire season + 2 playoff games.
Again, I don't even mind Bresec. It's just that it is starting to seem a little strange that Amir is producing and not getting rewarded for it. I personally like seeing everyone getting some PT at different points in the season so that we can fully evaluate them. If Bresec hadn't been given any minutes, I'd be wanted to see what he can do. Same with Herrmann.
But seeing a guy play can really give a sense of reality. Herrmann's dead-eye shooting turns into a guy who hits a 3 pointer and then misses his next 3, just like Hayes. Bresec's hustle and 7'1" frame turns into a guy who dives for a loose ball with a 40 point lead, but only has 2 steals on the year.
However, Amir just seems to back up the hype when he's out there. Whether it's grabbing a bunch of boards, getting easy buckets, or putting on a blocking exhibition, the guy is consistently effective. I know I'm preaching to the choir here, so I don't want to go on and on.
Maybe it's time for a t-shirt campaign or something.
