I don't have a problem with
some fighting, within the context of the game. But the last game that I went to, it was with my wife (girlfriend at the time) and it was just rediculous. Every time the puck was dropped, the gloves would come off and everyone on the ice would square off. The third period was insane.
The saying "I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out" is unfortunately all too true in a lot of cases. It gives the game a black eye (literally and figuratively), IMO.
