The saying "I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out" is unfortunately all too true in a lot of cases. It gives the game a black eye (literally and figuratively), IMO. | Yeah, they certainly over do it at times with the fisticuffs. I also don't like it when the team sends it's goon out to mess with a skill player.
If I miss the hockey playoffs I have nobody to blame but myself for making dumb game day calls. I rarely get a shutout, and the goalie I benched (for fear of losing other cats) is 6 minutes away from a shutout. This isn't the first time I've done that. When I decide to play a guy in a close contest, he gives up 5 goals.  It's only one point, but they are adding up.
