darko's problem with playing time from my point of view is that he not only has to be better than the big 3 currently but he also has to be better than what they used to be. this is a very hard thing because they all used to be all stars. |
While not the media manipulator that LB is, Flip is inconsistent in that way. Delfino plays hard in his minutes but is apparently frustrated. If the roles were reversed, I'm sure those words would have come from Mo.
The most troubling thing to me was seeing Darko's minutes dry up. He had a run of consistent (albeit short) minutes. He did have a string of DNP-CD's before too so maybe there is a pattern emerging. But hearing about lackluster practices, I am concerned. Bottomline is Darko HAS to bring more. Like it or not, this is the situation that he has to fight thru. I really would like to see him be able to guard Dirk, Memo and maybe Peja...these guys have the luxury of shooting over most of their defenders.
