Fantasy basketball sure is fun, ain't it.
The implications of changing your starting point guard on a veteran team are unbelievably immense.
We don't even have a clue how any of these other guys will get along in the locker room yet alone on the court.
Our starters have played together for over 4 years, though Dyess has been coming off the bench until this year. They all have egos, needs, likes, dislikes, strengths, weaknesses. C-Bill knows what all of those are and he has and continues to handle it very well. Yes we lost in the ECF the last two years and some of that has to fall on him, but who knows if anyone would have been better.
You don't go replacing your starting point guard, who is one of the best in the league on a team that is probably going to win 60 games and has been to the Finals twice, with another point guard who doesn't know the system and players. That would be insanity. Stuckey will become a great NBA player and may even surpass C-Bill when all is said and done.
Trading for another point guard at this time is just not the right thing to do and it will never happen.
