| Re: SPRING TRAINING 08 Now that a lot of our hitters are 30+ at bats into the pre season, I thought I'd take a look at how the averages are shaking out. Obviously, these are all over the place due to the relatively small sample size, but it's still fun to look at.
1) Polanco- 19/40- .475 (on fire)
2) W. Ramirez 7/16- .438
3) Pudge 15/35- .429 with 6HR's (great news if he hits well this year).
4) T. Perez- 11/26- .423
5) R. Santiago- 11/26- .423
6) B. Clevlen- 13/31- .419
7) F. Guzman- 11/27- .407
8) Mags- .366
9) Cabrera- .300
10) Inge- .300 (this would also be unreal if he could hit .280+)
11) Guillen- .295
The real bummer is Sheff at .148. Coming off an injury with some court dates to worry about. I'm sure he'll come around.
The good news seems to be that Pudge and Inge are hitting well and all those backups are hitting for average. We need all the scrubs to be focused on making contact and getting on base by any means necessary this year.
