I think Howard was reckless, but also brave for coming out on this. It's people having the courage to stand up and be honest, that push the boundaries. It costs $25,000 a year to incarcerate someone arrested for non-violent drug use. There are 100's of thousands of people in jail for this. The social cost of fighting a substance that is less harmful than alcohol is staggering. And wrong in my opinion. |
I agree, but what poor timing. Revealing to a drug addict (Michael Irvin) about marijuana use. If he wanted to admit something, he should have admited this to a friend or off the record. Obviously many of us smoke weed, no big deal. He just used poor judgement (maybe he was high) to admit something like that a day before a playoff game. Also, he implicated other nba players. Idiot.
