Re: tOfficial 'win, lose, or draw' I'm done with Flip Thread.

This post is not anti-Flip per se, but more of a general coaching/technique and LB related, but i've been thinking alot about why we looks so confused, and discombobulated in games (the turnover, lack of direction, missed assignments), and besides the obvious lacking of motivational skills, it comes down to one thing; practice. You play how you practice. I think we 1/ don't practice fundamentals nearly enough; on defense as well as offense (especially simple things like rotations). LB would probably have us running dozens of dribbling exercises after that turnover performance 2/ i don't think the practices are as structured and well defined as they were, and 3/ there's a lack of focus.

LB used to run practices like a drill sergent, and while the players probably hated it, it instilled repetition that would come through in games.

When your under pressure, if you have a familar routine you usually resort to that, if you don't you see what we see; the players running around like chickens with their heads cut off.

Random observation not really sure if it belongs in this post, but didn't know where else to put it . .
