Re: 2008 PF.com Fantasy Football

I've got an early suggestion for the league this season. Will we be scoring points for return punts/kicks again? Personally I feel this stat should be removed because it makes guys who would normally have no value become borderline starters. I'll throw some stats your way to make my point.

Nate Burleson finished 10th among WR with only 694 receiving yards and 9 TD's. His 1200+ return yards gave him more points than guys who had over 1000 yards and 12 TD's. Higher than guys like Plax Burress, Greg Jennings and Torry Holt. That's not really right.

Devin Hester finished 21st among WR despite only 299 receiving yards and 2 TD's.

Leon Washington finished 20th among RB with only 353 rushing yards and 3 TD's.
Jerious Norwood scored only 1 TD but finished ahead of guys with over 1000 yards or 6 TD's because of his 1300+ return yards.

And finally, Josh Cribbs, purely a PR/KR finished 36th (which is easily draftable) among WR with only a paltry 37 receiving yards and 0 TD's!! He scored more fantasy points than Lee Evans, Roy Williams, Calvin Johnson, Reggie Brown, Laveranues Coles, etc. His 2214 return yards and 3 return TD's made that possible. Again, I don't believe rewarding these types of players is very common in most leagues and I would like to put forward a motion to remove this stat from the upcoming season. It may only be a small thing but I believe it would be beneficial.

Any other thoughts? Agree/Disagree?
