Tape review

I only rewatched the first half so far. I am very impressed with Evans in the 2nd quarter. Repeatedly, the Pistons ran plays, and Evans was found in the right spot at the right time to make the shot. And he knocked down all but one. Other than one error on defensive rotation, nothing wrong with his play to report. A pretty darn good quarter of basketball from Evans. Evans also caused a steal and helped to battle on the boards in the quarter. The best was the play at the end of the quarter, where the Pistons called a 20 second tmeout and ran a play which ended up with Evans hitting a layup off a penetration by Arroyo. Lots of crisp play in the quarter. Note, in none of these plays did the Pistons call on Evans to handle the ball. Just get to the right spot, get the pass, and knock down the shot. He did this pretty well. He also impressed Billy Laims with that pullup off his dribble. (He got the pass in the corner, and that was defended so he dribbled in a bit and hit that shot.)
