Sounds exactly right to me. I think the question if whether he ought to be more in control at this point in his career.
Last year - 62 games - 12.3 MPG - 2.3 fouls per game - one foul every 5.42 minutes
This year - 25 games - 18.1 MPG - 3.4 fouls per game - one foul every 5.27 minutes
I'd sure like to see a little more progress than what we've seen so far (fouling rate down 3%). Right now on average he would foul out of any game he played in with about 32 minutes in the book.
Based on my thoroughly unscientific memory of the past couple of games, I'd say about half of his fouls are simple boneheaded plays, either out of position or trying something that can't possibly work.
