that's not to say delfino didn't play excellent defense on wade, because he was phenomenal and that's something positive to take away from this game. but according to the facts and numbers i can claim that if delfino had stayed in the game the entire 4th quarter, we could have LOST by 5-10.
(10:43) [DET] McDyess Foul: Offensive (4 PF)
(10:43) [DET] McDyess Turnover: Foul (1 TO)
(10:01) [DET] Billups Turnover: Lost Ball (3 TO) Steal: Anderson (2 ST)
(8:52) [DET] B. Wallace Rebound (Off:1 Def:5)
(8:49) [DET] Team Turnover: Backcourt Turnover (TO)

That's why we couldn't score. Guys were throwing the ball away left an right. Delfino missed one shot at the shot clock buzzer. I can't see how he hurt the offense. Especially considering that he only touched the ball once. Sounds like a problem with Chauncey forcing the issue, and Dice commiting about 30 offensive fouls (it seemed).

The reason the Pistons lost this game is because Wade scored 17 points on consecutive possessions. Delfino was stopping Wade. That's all that needs to be said. You make it sound like Tayshaun was helping our offense. The difference is Chauncey made a couple shots when Delfino came out.
