I didn't see the game, but heard most of the audio. Seems like it was run and gun inside and out. The Nuggets took 25 - 3's and hit 10 of them. The Pistons hit two. That was the difference in terms of the scoring differential.
Even though we were beating them on the boards they were still outpacing us to the tune of 34-13 in FB points.
We won the
points in the paint battle 60-52, but we should never give up that many points in the paint. Sheed was missing with the groin injury and apparently the newbies were only interested in scoring points and their defense still needs to be develped. Our 60 PIP mostly came from those newbies, AJ, JMAX and finally Dupree in the end as we know he is hard press to make a shot outside 10 ft.
Hopefully when the season starts, Delfino stops practicing his 3 ball and looks for some Dupree-like high percentage shots!!
