Brown returns to where he once coached

How will Detroit react when Brown makes his return?

Micro's Rookie to watch for
Everyone is amazed and intrigued by Nate Robinson, the diminutive PG with sick hops. Well, the Knicks had a great draft and my man to watch is Channing Frye. He's scored 19 or more in 6 of his last 9 outings. He was co-Rookie of the Month with Chris Paul for November. The 22 year old former Arizona Wildcat and 8th overall pick in the draft is averaging a solid 14 and 6 while shooting over 50%.

College Scouting Report - Thinly-built big man with a smooth back to the basket repertoire ... Makes use of the ball fake in the post, he is very adept at getting his defender in the air ... Keeps the ball high and cuts to his position well ... Long arms allow him to do a lot of good as his reach allows him to come over the top of his opponent ... Loves the jump hook, and should be able to develop a game facing the basket ... Good shot-blocker, and runs the floor well ... Great recovery quickness, he's able to get up and down for a second and third jump very quickly ... Possesses a nice set of hands to pull in caroms and feeds ... Has improved his decision making on the floor, with regard to not only shot selection, but in terms of avoiding foul trouble and finding his teammates on offense.

Frye reminds me of a modern day version of Larry Brown's previous ROY protege, Buck Williams. If Chris Paul hits the wall or gets injured, Frye looks like a serious ROY contender. He will likely be starting at the 5 in the Rookie All-Star game. Ben should have his hands full.
