This is a bad sign and his wanting to contribute and obtained a ring is BS. Big money he has, and apparently he can't get rid of that huge ego dependency. Let the Lakers have him.
Why can`t C-Webb talk to anyone he wants to?

Talk is just that, talk. I don`t have a clue what team Webber will sign with and to be honest, if I were him I wouldn`t choose Detroit. The way they have been playing may have convinced him to talk to LA. Let`s face it, the Lakers actually have an offense in place that suits C-Webb`s skills, not to mention a chance to play with Kobe.

I agree with you that the Lakers don`t have a chance to win a title with their current roster, but who knows, with Webber in the mix, Odom comes back strong, LA lands a couple of FA next year and who knows....

When C-Webb says win a title I don`t think he meant this year, he is probably giving the team he considers about a 2 year window, IMO.
