Smile Re: #15 Pick - Rodney Stuckey

MLive.com has a page that they just put on Stuckey, including vids.

Quote:
Importantly Stuckey improved not only on the court, but also in the classroom.
June 27, NBA.com: Three years later, he's not only the two-time Big Sky MVP, he's also a two-time member of the Big Sky All-Academic team and a member of the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American third team, with a GPA of 3.34. And his studies were not the only thing he worked on in Cheney.
"I was the first one in the gym and I was the [last] one out of the gym every day," Stuckey said. "Just working on my game. When you do that and you come out and perform every day to your abilities, no matter how good you are, they will find you."

In fact, Stuckey plans to head back to head back to college in the near future.
June 6, Eastern Washington Athletics:Stuckey, just a year academically away from his degree, vows to eventually return to school and finish work on his bachelor's degree. "I plan on still getting my degree. It may take me a couple of more years, but I promised my mom that I will always get my degree. It's still going to happen."
Yahoo's scouting report had this to say about Stuckey.
June 28, Yahoo.com: POSITIVES: Stuckey is a tough man to cover off the dribble. He has quickness, strength and a good first step. He has a scoring mentality and improved measurably as a free-throw shooter as a sophomore, all the way to 85 percent. Stuckey also has the ability to make the pass, but this talent was restrained because his team needed him to score, which he did. Unlike most rookies, he won't be a liability on defense, where he has a stout work ethic and good hands for steals.
The same scouting report suggests he could turn out to be as good as Mitch Richmond and on the relative downside, similar to Jamal Crawford.
