In the post game interview Tayshaun mentioned about 5 times how the Pistons can't keep digging themselves a hole in the first quarter. And Chauncey went off about the slow start too. So who is to blame for the sluggish starts?

I would blame Mason for not pumping them up enough at home. On the road, it is probably the strip clubbing and resulting lack of sleep.

After his AllStar appearance Mason has had a letdown.

lol I hope that's not a serious comment. I don't think Mason is even a little responsible for the slow starts.

Personally, I kind of like to see the Pistons start slow (though maybe not as slow as the Pacers game) and let the other team think they have a chance and then suddenly exert their will and crush their foe! (I guess that's the demonic side of me...)

P.S. Anybody know if there is a video floating around on the Net featuring the Chauncey and Rip "battle." I couldn't watch the game so I didn't get to see it and everyone has been saying it was really funny.

I'm ok with that in principle. I kind of like the feel them out close first half with a strong second. Unfortunately it seems about half the time the Pistons neglect to get around to that will exerting stuff.

Funny if that had happen the first week of the season, when refs were calling techs on a player for sneezing or any emotion, I could see some over zealous ref calling a tech on one of them or the team for having fun or delaying the game of course it would have been rescinded...

I didn't notice the shooting percentages in this game. Indiana blew us away % wise. Fortunately, they didn't get many shots off.

zzzzzz. i'd love for indiana to be our 1st round opponent, it'd be our first sweep in years. indiana has no chance of beating the pistons...they took a full half off and still blew them out.
