Quick, why did we not go to pairing up Dyess and Sheed at the end of this game tonight?

Curry wanted to win the game apparently.
Are you claiming that 6 minutes of 3rd quarter playing time is too much for Sheed and Dyess?

Sleeping on the sideline while runs are going on and/or your team isn't sharp and playing the line-ups they closed the game with will cost them playoff games long before Herrrrrman ever does.

Speaking if hair, what was the obsession with Vince Carter playing with Sheed's hair tonight? Did anyone see this?

On a serious note, the bench played outstanding, hope the starters are just holding off playing well for the sake of preserving themselves for the playoffs.

Re: NJ Nets April 10 8PM

I see so many problems with this rotation/pick and roll defense/sub patterns vs. better competition but since the wins are so hard to come by . . .

BOS is rolling w/o KG.

ORL might just be tanking to avoid us, but little do they know we are winning to get them LOL

PHI is falling fast.

< Curry stop sitting Amir in games w/ athletic FL's and in general. Please don't play awful help and pick and roll big pairs against teams that like to penetrate. Our guards are not good enough to pick up the slack. Please, thank you. >

edited to add;

Vince Carter looked abnormally happy even when the Nets were down 20 and LMAO at him making fun of Sheed's hair.

On that note - Rip looked far less than 100% today. Just did not seem to have his legs. Part of the problem could be running the point for Stuckey as all he seems to be capable of doing is walking the ball up the court.
Yea he looks gimpy.

I don't even care about the debatable tired aspect. They just suck together and i don't understand why the young/old big strategy Curry stated he was going to play was abandoned.

All the coaches run to Sheed/Dice like a crutch even when it's responsible for us falling down the stairs a majority of the time.

I mean Curry finishing the game w/ Max was nice (w/ Amir in PHI was better) but realistically how often is that going to happen in the PO's ?

Michael Curry will stay with current Pistons' rotation | Freep.com | Detroit Free Press

#$%#$^#%&^

Why do coaches do that? What benefit does he get out of minimizing the other players, and basically telling them "hey, relax don't try too hard; rotation's set, you're not in it"

and why does he always say "the rotation is set. this is it" and then change it two days later.

I'm with Vince. Sheed is heading froward.

I would have loved to have had the two of them miked during the last four minutes of the second.

That would mean Jason Maxiell, center Kwame Brown and point guard Will Bynum coming off the bench."So the same guys that are playing every night, so it's almost like what we said coming out of training camp," Curry said. "And then Arron (Afflalo) or Walter (Herrmann), both of them may play but maybe one of them, depending on the game. So we definitely expect to play nine guys every night."
As for the Pistons' playoff picture, Curry is first concerned with finishing the final three regular-season games on a high note
Does not sound like a bad plan. It does mean Amir Johnson is out but honestly I think Maxiel and Kwame are better options.

Re: NJ Nets April 10 8PM

I was reading a recap and practically died when i saw this;

The Happiest Aussie in Auburn Hills - NBAMate

Quote:
I cheered loudly when Walter Hermann started the second quarter - whom I paid tribute on Unsung Player Day last week. I really like the way Walter plays - with 100% energy and effort all the time. I know he’s mainly out there for his three-point shooting, but tonight he impressed me in all areas. He was all over the boards - he had an equal team-high 6 rebounds and he only played 12 minutes! He also spaced the floor really well and made the defense honest. He didn’t end up knocking down any shots, but it didn’t matter - while he was on the court during that second quarter the Pistons ran out to a 19-point lead. Walter played that entire quarter, but coach Curry in his infinite wisdom decided to bench him for the rest of the game. And what happened? The Nets came roaring back, cutting it to 5 late in the game and almost stealing it. Walter had the highest +/- differential with +9 along with Will Bynum (who scored 20 points). I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a 2 point-6 rebound performance win equal top honors in points differential, but it goes to show that Walter brings a lot of intangibles to the floor. When Coach Curry and his staff review this game I hope they realize the impact Walter had, because looking at the box-score won’t tell you.
Different perspectives and all . . . LOL

Also this tidbit i'm not sure what to make of;

Quote:
At the end of the third quarter, the Nets having closed the gap to 10, Sheed walked back towards the bench past the coaching staff. Coach Curry must have said something because Sheed all of a sudden turned around and starting yelling at Curry - it almost looked like verbal abuse. I’m not going to jump to any conclusions here, but Sheed looked really unhappy and virtually had to be restrained. A few of the other Detroit players looked at Sheed and Curry a little stunned. It was all over in five seconds. I’m guessing it was nothing. I’m guessing it was just Sheed being Sheed.

Geez, bizzarro Lee lives in Australia.

I did notice Sheed seemed pretty agitated in the 4th right before Kwame's tech.
