There are two reasons I can think of for him making the same decision knowing what he knows today. 1. He didn't like Flipper and wanted out, which is very possible. 2. He wanted the extra money, which Joe D. did not offer. A third possibility is that he wanted to move to the city of Chicago because of its jazz scene and to ride the El on a regular basis. | Re: Chicago Dec 7 7PM His ego got the best of him in 2 ways: 1. The contract size put him in the superstar income bracket. 2. He was hailed by many as the "missing piece" that would take the Bulls to the promised land. Rip, Sheed and Chauncey all signed deals for less money than Ben in order to stay with the Pistons. |

| Re: Chicago Dec 7 7PM In listening to 'Horn today, he was surprised as was Ian Eagle that Ben played the entire game the other night and got only 8 rebounds. They thought he has lost his fire. It's a shame, but I wondered if he could keep it up into his 30's like he had. |

| Well ESPN is loving it. Pistons play like Sisters of Mercy in the first quarter and only give more fodder to the ESPN/Celtic machine. Hopefully they will do better in the rest of the way. In all honesty they should win this game by 20 plus points. I think they have a soft spot in their heart for Big Ben and don't want to embarrass him on National TV. We shall see. ![]() |
