Discuss: Orlando Magic Dec. 29th, 7:30 PM at Detroit Pistons Fan Community - PistonsForum.com

Anybody notice that Tay played 44 minutes last night? The most by any player on either team....

I think this could have been the best game so far due to the fact that the Magic wanted this game so much. I know they appeared not so show it but that was due to the fine Piston D out there.

I also think Curry had found the right starting lineup. Brinig Rip off the bench when he gets back, try to find a couple of mins for Kwame and I think we are all set. And by all means keep Herman and Blaylock on the bench.

Re: Orlando Magic Dec. 29th, 7:30 PM

How about this for a solution and a way for Curry to avoid making a decision on this delicate matter?

AI starts and finishes until we lose. Then Rip starts and finishes until we lose. And so on. The starter will get 34+ minutes while the bench player gets 28 or so.

It gives them something to compete for and keeps them fresh.

Obvioulsy, this would never happen, but I think it would be a fun way to do it.

Base it on height:
If the opposing backcourt is a combined 12'9" or above - Rip starts.
Below that number - Bubba starts.

I'm down as long as the non-starter wears a sign around their neck that says TRADE BAIT.

Or even a 10 game stretch with one followed by a 10 game stretch with the other.

Just something to keep the bench player from complaining.

Although it would give us the chance to seriously reduce Tay's mins to around 30.

Man what a frikking dilemma, if MC can figure this one out, he's earned every penny of his salary.
AA could possibly move over and play at SF. If Rip is coming off the bench we would need a quality backup PG to play with Rip. That wiould be awesome.

However, probably the most realistic option IMHO would be to trade Rip for a quality backup PG and PF.

Good post Greg
