So now the money has been spent...

How do you feel? Now that it's been all said and done. Chauncey Billups (or should I say his contract) was traded for Charlie V and Ben Gordon.

Are you hating it? Liking it? Let's see how a poll does.

I think its ok. If we can trade Rip for Kaman or Chandler, I'd be super happy.

I think it was fine. Not sure there was much more that Joe could've done. Pistons definitely got younger and more exciting. If a Rip trade could bring in a big, they'd be in a pretty good position to make some playoff noise.

Re: So now the money has been spent...

I'd have to give it an Incomplete at this point. We have a bit more $ to spend and a possible trade or two in the near future.

I'm going to wait to reserve judgment until I can see the final results.

Now the question is: what center can be had for the remaining 4 years of Rip's contract?

Re: So now the money has been spent...

I'm ok with it, I like the Gordon signing, but I would've rather seen Joe go after David Lee rather than a 'scoring first' forward such as Villanueva. I do like Villanueva however, which is why I'm ok with it, but I think David Lee fills more of a need.

Still have roughly $4m, I read a small piece about Dumars possibly making a run at Bostons restricted Glenn Davis who only made about $775K this year. Boston would be put in a pinch.

Usually Joe waits to see who's left (vets) floating around to spend the last of his money. I don't think he'll have enough to keep Dyess the way it stands.

The Only thing that I can imagine is Kaman or Camby, I'm sure Donny Walsh would love to send Eddy Curry our way.

I wonder if Joe could bring in Laimbeer in to work on Eddy Curry (Oh that's right, Private Pyle, don't make any f'n effort to get to the top of the f'n obstacle. If God would have wanted you up there he would have miracled your ass up there by now, wouldn't he?)

Re: So now the money has been spent...

do the Pistons have a small chance to get Gortat? Or do they have the cap to take Chandler's contract in a trade for RIP or Tay?
