With the addition of Carlie Villanueva and Ben Gordon our Rotation looks like this: PG-Stuckey/Bynum SG-Gordon-Hamilton/...

A big man

With the addition of Carlie Villanueva and Ben Gordon our Rotation looks like this:

PG-Stuckey/Bynum
SG-Gordon-Hamilton/Afflalo/Summers
SF-Prince/Daye/Washington?/Summers
PF-Villanueva/Maxiell
C-Brown

As you can see we are now low on bigs. Unless Joe wants Kwame starting he'll shop Hamilton for a starting center with a package that involves Maxiell and then sign some FA's presumably a veteran and maybe Glen Davis but we really need some productivity under the basket.

Re: A big man

We've talked about this numerous times. During their run to the ECF they always had good depth up front. It is important, and Joe is going to try to address it. What he can come up with is another thing.

Re: A big man

Chris Broussard was on ESPN saying that signing Dyess may be their last move regarding the roster.

Re: A big man

If i were Joe i offer Prince or Rip plus any bench player(s) they want to TOR for Bosh.

TOR has long coveted having a real SG or SF.

Maybe if they know they are going to lose Bosh next year . . .

Re: A big man

I like Chris Bosh, alot, a whole lot, I really want to see him in a Pistons uniform BUT, I'm not sold on him being a franchise player that will one day deliver a ring. This last season D-Wade impressed the hell out of me, Miami was a team full of scrubs and he made them respectable and earned the 5th spot in the playoffs almost singlehandedly............Toronto failed to make the playoffs AGAIN! The only time Wade missed is when he was injured. I like Bosh, but he might be another really great player that never turns great stats into rings! Which very well be why he's talking about playing with LeBron in 2010/11.

Re: A big man

As per 2004 though, we don't need a franchise player to win a title.

I wouldn't mind seeing that. Even is we trade Rip for a big, we still need another backup. Dyess is as good as any.

Re: A big man

How much $$ do we have left? Was the Amir move to save $1.7M necessary, considering that we now need to fill the role of backup big man through FA?

It appears that Sheed is already considered 'gone'?

Probably will not surprise anybody but I think the Knicks could use
Rip since people 'seem' to consider him gone, as well, and I believe
that Darko could come over and beat Kwame out for the starting job
and leave Brown as the backup. Dyce could be signed for another tour and with Charlie there, it would seem to me to work.

DMC can play as he has done against Sheed and Dyce, and he would come back now that he could be needed.

Probably will not get any support for this idea, but there it is.
