Celtics Eyeing Piston Bigs

I keep reading stories in the papers out here that Dyess and Sheed are two of the free agents that Ainge wants to try and sign with their MLE. Does anyone think Sheed would except the MLE and if so do you think he would be "tamed" by the Celtics locker room? The reason I ask and something I find humerous is what is continually written about him....

"Rasheed Wallace: Ainge expressed his interest in Wallace, whose crazy ways could be quelled in a veteran laden Celtics locker room."

As if the Pistons aren't a veteran team that has a pretty controlled lockar room. I find it funny that they have this warped impression of their team out here. The Celtics can do no wrong, send us the most hard to tame personalities and they'll be changed by our locker room environment into model citizens. What's funnier, that or that Sheed is a menace to begin with. Other than his outbursts and Ts I think he's been a pretty good guy to have on our team and those things are going to happen with him no matter where he plays.

As far as the Dyess talk goes, they seem to think we have the inside track to signing him over anyone. I hope that's true because although I'd like to see him get his championship he's been one of the steadiest players we've had and I'd love to see him in the Piston red, white and blue next year.

I'd like to see Dice get a ring too, but not with the Celtics....if our Pistons were a one and done unit, I want all of the other recent champs to have our same lack of success.

So, using your logic we should be pulling for

Magic
Cavs
Nuggets

in no particular order...
to win it all...

Re: Celtics Eyeing Piston Bigs

Celtics couldn't beat Orlando or Cleveland anyway. Sheed and Dice have way better options. My preference would be the Spurs~

....I am probably OK with any of them winning it next season ...but since we have not won it all in 5 years, and we will basically have a new team I can still pull for us first, since we cannot tie the 04 team to the current one.

Good logic, although what are the chances of that happening? And there's no way I'll be pulling for Cavs in any way, shape, or form.

I agree, they would flourish in SA.

Re: Celtics reportedly make an offer for Shheeeeeed

2:50pm- Celtics Blog reports that Boston has offered Rasheed Wallace a two year contract worth the full midlevel exception, $5.8 million per season.

Re: Celtics Eyeing Piston Bigs

I hope Sheed doesn't accept. He'd have a much better chance to win a championship with Cleveland, Orlando or Sanantonio.

I hope he accepts, so when we beat them next year it would feel even better.
