And this is the fans fault how?

Well, that's where you lose the plot. He's our highest draft pick and was selected over several guys who are now becoming franchise players. The higher you get drafted, the greater the critique and focus. Comes with the big paycheck pal.

I'll tell you what. Once you get over your disappointment for Darko, I'll get over my disappointment for lame threads- and the lack of love is how this all got started.

A person doesn't put that much work into following DMC if he has his "hate on".

This is exactly what I am talking about when I mention fans being polarized. There is a small faction of fans who attack anything written about DMC that is not in the best of lights. It retards discussion and scares folks away.

As much as you didn't like the block of wood thread, I don't see a single thread started by you in 3 months outside the fantasy forum. I do see you posting on other boards, and hot dang if you aren't all over this topic.

It would be interesting for one of you guys who is so into defending DMC to start a Darko love thread. The problem isn't that there is a joke thread, it's that as a group, his fans are not inspired enough to start a thread in his support. They just wait for a chance to pounce on someone else's topic.

Don't think you have me figured out on Darko. And don't go by anything 356.5 posts either. He's quick to call people haters, and repeats it enough times that folks start to believe it.

You are right. I had you all wrong. You must really love DMC.

Calling Darko a bust is a pretty quick way to retard the discussion. There really is no opposing arguement. Like if I called your future child ugly, all we could do is wait and see. I attack ignorance, I have no problem debating with intelligent people.

There would be no point to creating a thread. Besides I'm not interested in rejoicing with a bunch of Darko fans about his bright future. I like attacking the impatient bastards head on and if I can't change their minds, I at least can try and defuse their lame arguements.

I would rather be the pouncer than the pounceee. Why start a pro-Darko thread only to be attacked by the haters?

I don't have you figured out because you have been riding the fence for so long.

Re: Not nice to make fun of Darko

There was a time when packin' wood was somethin' to be proud of...
It's really not Darko's fault that he's associated with lumber...

Ya see he comes from a long line of big Lumberjacks...
Ever heard of Paul "Milicic" Bunyan?

Here's Grandpa Darko cutting down part of the Sahara forest (it's a desert now)...

Not necessarily. Everyone is entitled to their opinion...you defend your's, I defend mine. It's a public forum, so I believe it should be done politely by opposing parties.

I don't consider anyone on this forum to be ignorant...but there is a ton of intelligent posters here. Let the debates continue...

IMO...you said a mouthful...you don't want to start the war, but enjoy the battles...nothing wrong with that!

I'll grant you that Darko's been subjected to a lot of criticism and been made the butt of countless jokes. But understand that, for a lot of people, the expectations of him given the draft circumstances have been unfulfilled. IMO...there is not a single poster here that hates Darko.

I would love to see DMC succeed...whether it's here or somewhere else. I think I've treated Darko equitably.

I'm bummed that Darko didn't score after looking at the box. He DID have 3 assists and the touch-pass was flat-out beautiful.

I have to tell you guys that I thought the thread comparing Darko to wood was exquisitely clever and probably the funniest thread I've ever seen.

Merc, you are a total looney bird. lmaooo. Grandpa Darko was friggin' hilarious.

OK. No more making fun of Darko. He ain't no SAP!
I'm turning over a new
LEAF. (Oopsie...I did it again). OK. I'm gonna STICK with it this time.
Argggh! I disgust myself. As penance, I promise to tie myself around Darko the next time I see anyone approach him with a chain saw or bulldozer.

You know, basketball is in Darko's veins. Did you guys know his uncle played for the Atlanta Hawks? Yup. You guessed it....TREE ROLLINS!!

I'll make sure my comments about "that boy" are more inventive from now on. If you don't like the thread, avoid it.
