What did he do, kick your cat; try to date your daughter; say nasty things about you on the internet?

No, I think his rabid fans tend to polarize folks and the only outlet for sanity is humour. Have you ever laughed about DMC?

I agree with Lazy. It's not funny to make jokes at the expense of others. And if you have to call someone a name or make fun of them please choose a politically correct way to do it.

For example someone is not dumb they are cerebrally challenged

And I think Lazy's forum name should be changed to motivationally dispossessed

Doggone it, now I have to go to the dictionary to find out if I should be either 'gleefully overcome' or have received my 'totally deserved comuppance'.

Be back later when I have 'verification of my current state of mind'.

Darko or a peice of wood? Yeah, that is hilarious! This isn't an SNL skit or a Roast, it's a bunch of haters rejoicing in a common dislike for a PERSON. There is no respect or love being shown at all.

It's all in fun, man. Darko never will see it.

I think the sarcastic cheers at the game that he actually is aware of are a bit cruel and counter productive.

Personally, I don't hate the guy in the least. He frustrates me sometimes. I think 95 percent of the people cracking on him would like nothing better than to see him succeed here...or even somewhere else.

I swear, sometimes I think his parents and/or siblings are posting in here. He gets a lot of love for someone who has given....what...very little if anything to the community or to the franchise.

Yeah, I thought so too. I thought you were being sarcastic, and then I realized that it's not your style.

You are entitled to your opinion. Based on the web definition of a roast from Wikipedia, I'd say it qualifies.

A roast is an event in which an individual is subject to publicly bearing insults, praise, outlandish true and untrue stories, and heartwarming tributes. It is seen as a great honor to be roasted, as the individual is surrounded by friends, fans, and well-wishers, who can receive some of the same treatment as well during the course of the evening. The party and presentation itself are called a roast.

I dunno about you and lazyberbs, but Detteam and myself are definitely friends and fans of Darko. I even caught G-man well wishing him once (and he was sober at the time)!

Well, let me fix that. Come here Dave, I wanna give you a hug. I love hugging birch trees. Especially sad ones.

There's no haters here and no dislike for Darko.

What there IS is frustration that he hasn't developed like we all would have hoped. Maybe you don't find this thread humorous, but humor is all it was intended to be. I think MOST readers of this thread have gotten a chuckle out of it.

BTW...I like your signature.

Cracking on someone is only in good fun if you respect the person who is the butt of the joke. Without respect it's just cruelty. Maybe you find that fun, but I find it offensive and pathetic. Darko definately does not get a lot of love around here. Sure most fans wish him success, but few show any loyalty or optimism.

If in the future you need to have a little giggle about Darko, make fun of his situation or hyperbolize his success or potential. Can we get a little bit more creative than comparing him to a peice of wood?
