| Let's hear your Trade ideas Come on, lets throw some stuff out there. This is starting to drive me crazy, as far as the wait. So, let's get some stuff that we can comment on. Trade you think will make us better, here is mine: Biedrins for Prince or Brown, Wilcox, and Atkins. Apparently Nelson is going nuts over there, and they want to slash payroll...badly. Biedrins is their fattest contract, with 4 more years on it after this one. Nelson, I’m told, wasn’t happy about having to give up Cartier Martin when Martin was due a guaranteed deal and was released instead. Nelson loves Tolliver even more and can’t stand Vladimir Radmanvic (for obvious reasons), so he was going to fight the Tolliver thing to the limit. Nelson likes Anthony Morrow and Kelenna Azubuike and Coby Karl and we probably couuld go on and on, as long as they’re D-Leaguers, cheap, and not bothered by his grand eccentricities. Cohan and Rowell love that. They’re in deep financial trouble, so they’re already angry at any high-priced player, just on the face of it. If Nelson can get them a cheap player or a big-salary player, they’re all for it The other move, which is related to the first, is that in order to make room to keep Tolliver on their roster after his two 10-day contracts had run out, the Warriors had to waive a player. They decided to waive guard Speedy Claxton. At first glance, this makes sense because Claxton doesn’t play and his contract ends after this season. The fact that Claxton’s contract ends after this season, though, is what makes the move an interesting one. Claxton’s expiring contract, worth $5.2 million, could have been a valuable trade chip at the trade deadline, since so many teams are looking to clear salary this season. Waiving him gives the Warriors a little less flexibility leading up to the trade deadline. Press Democrat Here’s what the source told me: Don Nelson loves D-Leaguers, and continuously tells the front office that his coaching can turn $660k players into $4M players You can never discount T-Mac, J. Taylor for Prince and Hamilton. Hamilton > Ariza, and Tay on paper at least, is better than Battier. I like Taylor thrown in because I like him from college, and we could use a backup SG who is cheap and can shoot. |

But I read recently on MLive that Dumars has been offered expiring contracts for them but he wants value in return. Honestly, why does Dumars over-value his players so much. What does he think he is going to get for Prince/Hamilton. Expiring contracts are value. |

| Re: Let's here your Trade ideas Guess the Darren Collison secret is out now (been high on him since his frosh year)... scratch that. Rip & Kwame for Thad Young & Dalembert (one year left) Kwame for Ty Thomas (timing is right) Rip, Kwame and future protected 1st... Okafor & Mo Pete Ben Wallace, Chucky & this year's 1st (top 3 protected) for Jason Thompson |

I am one of the few who still thinks Rip has some good years left but I can't see us being competitive going forward with 23-24 mil/yr tied up in the SG spot. One of the two has to go and since he just singned Gordon I am thinking it has to be Rip. Not so much worried about Tay since he only has a year left but we can't carry that kind of cash in the back court for another 4 years or so with ownership unwilling to pay lux tax. Just cant do it.
