It should get better. To be honest, 2005 on were kinda let downs for me. The fun was 2002~2004. That was neat watching a team come together and win 50 games and Ben carry people on his back.

I think we have a chance to see more of the special stuff like that, instead of sleepwalking to the playoffs and taking 82 games for granted.

And I'm happy you're here.

Combine that gem with her earlier wish that she hoped the cap went way down and I'm not sure there isn't a more overmatched person in sports.

Did anyone see the other article on draft night where she said the team should be sold by the start of the season in october. She also said she wished the draft was done earlier so she could see her daughter make her acting debut in the Twilight premiere in LA.....man I'm glad she was smart enough to know how clueless she is in this area.

I sat there thinking, 2004 was an anomaly, and the chances of Joe doing that again are so incredibly tiny, we probably have a better chance of getting the Shock back.
I did see that. It seems the only way for that to happen in DET again is to have young guys like Okur providing the depth. Lee has said it many time, but since 2004 every move Joe made when the team had a chance to win was to dump money.

As time has passed my understanding has grown and my disappointments have faded. It is hard to win without your first quote and where I used to mock the consecutive ECF streak I now see it in a better light. I'm kind of proud of them/it.

Many agree we need to make a trade to balance out the roster. Folks are saying that we need a defensive - paint protecting Center, I agree, but who? Who is this player and how do we obtain his services? Should we be getting Cheikh Sambs agent on the phone?

Don't continue to tune me out (be better than Roscoe), it is Jefferson. Only JD can't see it! I am going to wink at you...I will include Roscoe.

Oh I'm in the WE WANT BIGAL CLUB. I think Monroe and Jefferson would make one heck of a High/Low Post combo and would rebound the heck out of the basketball. The defense would come in the disappointment of the playoffs, nothing like a few playoff losses to show you the importance of defense and sacrifice.

That was awesome huh Roscoe? For me, I'd extend that to 2005. Even though it was a let down losing in game 7 to the Spurs it still was exciting to be part of.

I really enjoyed waiting for all the role players to get off the bench and contribute. I was a big fan of "Scoreless" Williamson, The combo of Mike James and Lindsey Hunter, and Darko before we realized that he was never going to amount to anything. We either leveraged, or ignored our depth after that, because 2006-2009 we just worked the hell out of the top 6 or so players. I'm getting excited about the ensemble cast that we are going to roll out this year.
