That's a great comparison.

Hey, I'm just saying. I have no bias towards a player just because of who they are. I say what I say because I think it would help the team.

I think the comparison proves that Tayshaun wasn't exactly killing it out there in almost identical PT as Delfino is getting this year. It took a big boost in minutes for him to get his confidence going and look at what he has turned into. Before the minutes, he didnt do anything much better than Carlos is in the same minutes. That's why I think people are expecting too much from Carlos (offensively) considering the PT he has been given. The numbers were just way too similar for me to not post.

Tayshaun's rookie year (23 yrs old): 10.4mpg, 3.3ppg, 1.1rpg, 0.6 apg, 0.24 spg, 0.50 TOpg
Delfino this year (23 years old): 10.3mpg, 3.2ppg, 1.6rpg, 0.7apg, 0.25 spg, 0.48 TOpg
Really interesting nums. Nice Job.

Hey, we should be so lucky as to have a comparison round 8 thread going at this time next year since that means that the team will have already cleared 60 wins and is on the way to ship 3 - and we don't have anything else to talk about.

Re: Delfino vs Evans Round 3

Evans comes into the NOK game, gets an impossible rebound, and then, half a second later, has the ball stolen from him by Chris Paul.

Delfino enters the game, shakes a defender, skies for a one handed jam (unbelievable!) and is denied by the rim.

I think both of these guys have skill and athletic ability, but neither seems like a savior off the bench. Maybe next year.

The only kind of player that will shine in those minutes are guys who get tons of shots up in limited time (Delk). Neither Delfino or Evans are those types of players.

Did Tayshaun look like anything great in his rookie year untill he got big minutes in the playoffs?

Tayshaun's rookie year (23 yrs old): 10.4mpg, 3.3ppg, 1.1rpg, 0.6 apg, 0.24 spg, 0.50 TOpg
Delfino this year (23 years old): 10.3mpg, 3.2ppg, 1.6rpg, 0.7apg, 0.25 spg, 0.48 TOpg
You make a convincing argument. In my mind the debate is shelved until October.

Re: Delfino vs Evans Round 3

great numbers fp22.

the thing that surprised me as i read them, actually, was that delfino's mpg are as high as that. my memory rarely has him in for more than 10 mpg, but with all the dnp-cd's and 5-7 min. games, he must have had quite a few 10 min+ games earlier in the year. I only remember a couple in any detail. ah well, it's been a while i guess, and plus i'm gettin' old.

anyway, i really hope the guy gets a chance to break out cause i think he could be pretty special player and i like his style of ball and i hope it's with the pistons.
