The source on pack leader:

Dog Whisperer is an Emmy Award-winning National Geographic Channel series that premiered in September 13, 2004. Cesar Millan portrays his real life role in rehabilitating and restoring balance to dogs with problems.

Millan's specialty is working with dogs which are known to be aggressive. Episodes of the program often feature but are not limited to work with an aggressive dog and Millan's application of rules, boundaries, and limitations. Pack leadership, by all humans who live or work with the dog, is required for the dog to exist in a content, calm state. Millan demonstrates to the owners how to obtain and maintain this.

As part of the show, Millan is shown as someone who owns approximately 50 dogs, including Rottweilers, Pit Bulls and German Shepherds, all of whom coexist in peace, uncaged and unchained. Millan is also an honorary member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP). Dog Whisperer is sponsored by Purina and Petco.

Dogs are a member of the Wolf family. Wolves are pack animals.

Cats are smart, independent, take care of their business in private and one of nature's finest looking creatures.

If you're choosing an animal based on smarts, dogs are easily more intelligent than cats:

Re: Rotations

I read somewhere that dogs have been selectivly bred for far longer than cats so they have had a chance to grow into a lot of different roles that cats have not.

Both make excellent pets and the owners know that their personalities usually burst through the sterio types.

Re: Rotations

A rotation for next game. Stuckey still out. Billups still out. Dyess still out. We resign Mejia. Mohammed and Flip Murray do not play. And of course, Dupree does not play.

We start Prince at point, Rip, Amir at small forward, JMAX, Sheed.

With 5 mintues to go in the 1st quarter, Afflalo comes in for Rip, Mejia comes in for Prince, giving:

Mejia, Afflalo, Amir, JMAX, Sheed.

To start the 2nd quarter:

Mejia at point, Rip at shooting guard, Prince at small forward, Hayes at power forward, Samb at center.

Last 6 minutes of 2nd quarter:

Prince at point, Rip, Amir, JMAX, Sheed. (Back to starters.)

This pattern, when used for the whole game, results in this for minutes:

Tay 38, Rip 38, Sheed 36, JMAX 36, Amir 36, Mejia 22, Afflalo 10, Hayes 12, Samb 12.

This is a nine man rotation. But now I am going to put down a 7 man rotation, eliminating Hayes and Samb:

The goal is 7 guys each playing 34 minutes. (Two will play 35)

--------------------------------------------

Tay, Rip, Amir, JMAX, Sheed start. (6 minutes)

Six minutes in, Afflalo spells Rip, while Mejia comes in for Sheed, giving:

Tay, Afflalo, Mejia, JMAX, Amir. (4 minutes)

For the last 2 minutes of the 1st quarter, and the first two minutes of the 2nd quarter, we play this unit:

Mejia, Rip, Afflalo, Amir, Sheed. (4 minutes)

For the next 4 minutes (up to 6 minutes to go in the 2nd):

Mejia, Afflalo, Tay, JMAX, Sheed (4 minutes)

For the next 4 minutes (up to 2 minutes to go in the 2nd):

Tay, Rip, Amir (But Mejia plays the first two minutes here), JMAX, Sheed. (4 minutes)

For the last 2 minutes of 2nd quarter:

Mejia, Rip, Afflalo, JMAX, Amir. (2 minutes)

------------------------------------------

Lets check this for minutes: (projected for game)

Tay 36, Rip 32, Amir 36, JMAX 40, Sheed 36, Mejia 32, Afflalo 28

I will call this close enough for now.

he's taking his rotations to a whole new level....

might as well say i want a rotation of

Pg Nash/Kidd
Sg Bryant/Wade
Sf Anthony/Lebron
Pf Nowitski/Garnett
C Duncan/Ming

with Howard/Prince(homer pick)/Iversion

see, i think they all but prince get there teams to release them, and they all sign with us for the league min, or we get them in a one sided trade

None of the players average more then 20 mins a game for the year.. a set rotation thru the first 3 periods and the hottest 5 play the 4th.

96-0 we go down as the best team in sports history....

Re: Rotations

Except, we could sign Mejia if we wanted to. Not so with your dream team there.

By the way, who is this "Wadd" guy? He looks like the weak link.

Re: Rotations

I like the idea of Prince starting at point and someone else at SF while Billups is out.

Substitute in the guy we have Hayes for the guy we don't have Meija and it looks good. Also Mohamed needs some burn.
