They ought to be printing those suckers up already...with Kwame "GT" Brown on board we're going to be floating to the top of the NBA in no time.

The key word is "solid"... Solid does not mean championship. He is someone that can bang against Perkins, Dalembert, Howard, Ilgauskas. As a starter or coming off the bench... last year proved that we needed a big. On the current roster, Max is our only player that weights over 250 lbs. Kwame is 6'11 over 270.

How great would in be if the Palace crowd chanted Turd during a blowout like in Caddyshack, or something, and made him cry? I can't wait for the season!

At least the opposing team will have to go around us now instead of through us. If we can at least keep one of the opposition off the glass; we have a better chance of "hustling" a rebound.

That's a good plan. I think you would also have to send Joe D (without his PDA) to Europe in order to keep him from picking up any more grizzled vets to shore up the front line.

Re: Rotations

I think the starting center is still going to be Sheed, barring any trades of course. I like the Kwame move for depth but he may not good enough to start. May not even play that much depending on how he matches up with the other guys in training camp and the pre-season.

He still plays hard, and almost the hardest among last year's starters.

I contend that Brown could start by default because I too would like Sheed back at PF. Dyess will come off the bench reprising his 6th man role. Stuckey to spell Chauncey. Afflalo for Rip or Tay. Max and Amir again have to find minutes. Max will have the upper hand and spell Sheed. Amir and Samb spot minutes once again.

Sharpe, Bynum, even more bleak minutes. HVC
Dyess does play hard - in one direction only though - straight forward. He lacks any lateral movement, and that hurts us no end on the defensive end. He still has a purpose, as a depth player to play against bigger centers. (Not that he has that much height, but he has plenty of strength, and some height at least, to be effective against bigger, slower players.

Dyess or Samb, it does not matter that much. I would not think either should play a whole lot more than the other. As an 11th man, I still see minutes for Dyess. What I don't want to see is Dyess a major part of the rotation to the point where Samb is shutout in munutes. So, I would rather start with the younger player getting the regular gig - knowing Dyess would still get minutes.

Be it as it may. Ultimately Amir or Maxi are going to have to beat out Dyess for his spot. If one of them can do that then it will not be a problem, Dyess will go to the bench.

My main fear is that Curry runs with a 3-forward rotation of Sheed, Dyess and Brown. That would negate the effect of Brown and I hope it does not happen.

I would also like to see Amir get a shot at backup SF.

One thing we can get excited about are the guards. Going to be a great rotation this year of CB, Rip, Stucky and AA. Even if Hunter stays on I can't see him being granted any favors once the post-season starts.

Yes I have accepted the fact that there probably will not be any major trades this year.
