Actually Defesive boards are in deficit. But I am not worried about defensive boards. Probably one stat I could care less about when your team is putting up more shots per game. All that says is the opponent has more chances to rebound. Offensive boards are the real measure. Pistons are +0.3 in offensive boards. Not great but its been improving in the stretch run. |

| Re: Field Goal % Remember folks when you shoot mostly jumpers you are talking about long rebounds. It is difficult to get in position for a long rebound. That`s why you see Detroit tapping the ball or attempting to tap it to a teammate. The majority of the offensive rebounds the Pistons get is when the Pistons are attacking the basket, thus allowing one to get better rebounding positioning, because the ball will not fall far from the hoop after a miss. (Does that make sense) Hopefully somebdy will know what I mean! ![]() |

| Re: Field Goal % Maybe I'm oversimplifying ... but when you add together the Pistons' stinginess with the ball, their effective 3-point shooting, crisp offensive execution and still pretty stifling defense, it adds up to: More points per shot + More shots per game = We win going away |
