Google is really making you impresive. What a research!!!!!! The worst thing can happen to the Pistones will be, along with injuries, not adjusting to the new coach and his system. The offensive will be different and so will be the game philosophy. Will see how they respond.

Okay he's very good, but I just don't think he can replace what Reggie gave to this team. He could still play good in his 40's, but what I think the Pacers really lost with Reggie was his knowledge of the game. Don't you think Reggie would now what to do in almost all tough situations?

himat,

SarJar has played in more big games at 29 than Reggie Miller had at that age. I think people over estimate the NBA sometimes. The NBA is the best league, but winning two European championships in the best International League is a big deal too.

How many NBA Finals did Reggie win? How many Eastern Conference titles?

Reggie was a great player, the best in Pacer history. But that franchise never won the big one. He's a big game SHOOTER, not a big game player. There is a tremendous difference. For all of his 3 point heroics, Reggie's lost his share of big games.

His teams lost the Eastern Conference Finals 5 times. You call that a big game player? I don't. Chauncey Billups is a big game player. Isiah Thomas was a big game player. Reggie Miller was a great shooter, period.

You proved me wrong there, but I just don't think he'll be able to fully replace Reggie Miller especially in his 1rst season with the best players in the NBA.

Fair enough. We'll have to wait and see. Personally, I am terrified of the guy because he is really talented and a leader.

I don't often disagree with you Microwave, but this time I do.. Reggie has played in a lot of big games (he was in the NBA finals and a handful of conference finals). I do recognize that SarJar has done a lot in the Euro league, but I watched a few of those games on NBA TV (finals).. The defense is horrible, why do you think Darko looks like big Ben on defense over during his scrimmages. Getting back to my point, Reggie has played in a lot of big games and although he didn't perform as expected (in them all), I would still take his career over SarJar anyday.. I believe that Darko (who I love to make fun of) will make more of an impact this year than SarJar..

Nope, just done a lot of reading on him. As soon as I heard that our fellow Central divison teams, Cleveland and Indiana were pursuing him, I made it a point to find out as much as I could.

Some people blow him off, but I think that this move could be a big one for Indy. And what Indy does, I pay attention to. Donnie Walsh is a pretty good GM.
