Re: NBA 2006 Season Awards

GM survey names Ben Wallace first, then, with distance, Bowen and Kirilenko third.

Re: NBA 2006 Season Awards

Kobe should have received the MVP award flat out.

The award is supposed to recognize what happens ON the court! This man carried the Lakers early. Scored 80+ points in a game; second only to Wilt. Saw a stretch where he averaged 40 ppg. Plays defense and is as unstoppable as they come. He has had a phenomonal season, the likes of it rarely seen.

Make no mistake, I ain't a Kobe fan and wasn't one long before his "incident" in Colorado. My issue had more to do with the folk he dissed in Philly....but that's another story. Plus I don't like his "personality" such as I know it from TV and all.

But make no mistake about it. This is one cat who can flat-out ball, and to not give him the award is akin to robbery.

Re: NBA 2006 Season Awards

The Playoff Kobe playing now I would vote for but not the one we seen during the regular season. The reason Nash gets so many votes is because he makes everyone around him better. I didn't even know what a Diaw was before this season. Kobe made no one better during the regular season.....may have even made Odom worse. If he would play next year like he has the past two weeks then I would agree.
