We're off to see the Wizard.......

If the Pistons starting 5 were stuck in Oz and had to ask the Wizard for wishes...what should they ask for?

My thoughts:

Rip - A consistent 3 point shot
Big Ben - Free throw accuracy (of course)and a more polished post game
Chauncey - Total Recall of what it means to play the right way throughout the season
Tayshaun - Agressiveness on Offense
Rasheed - Controlled Temper

And for the munchkins....

Darko - Confidence and playing time
Dyess - A couple more seasons of good knees
Delfino - Heart and Defense
Davis - Just an opportunity for the championship will suffice
Arroyo - Defense and the ability to give up the ball earlier
Hunter - A jump shot in the playoffs and Kander's number on speed dial
Evans - Total Recall of why Joe signed him in the first place (Dupree FORGOT this last year)
Max - Opportunity and Patience
Acker - Opportunity and Patience
Amir - Opportunity and Patience

oh..

simply means that I don't want him to forget what made him so successful last seaon since LB won't be there to yell at him from the bench.

Chauncey is mentally tough and confident. He has been there before and was successful. If he doesn't know what it takes to win, I don't know who does.

Chauncey will be okay as long as he doesn't start jacking up bad shots.
Take your three point shots within the flow of the offense and don't force a shot that is not there. If he does that he should be fine.

How How! CB needs to keep running the "O". I worry about Flip ball. His guards always shot too much for my liking. If you are Isiah Thomas, you can get away with that. CB is not Zeke.

Ah.. yes Zeke was the man. He was so underated as a point guard. The only guy in the league with a similar game to him right now is Iverson. AI has more offense than Zeke had but Zeke had the better passing skills.

As far as Chauncey goes I share your concern however it is Flips job to make sure Chauncey does not go a stray. If Chauncey has not learned that him and Rip doing all the scoring does not win us many games then I don't know what will. It is a proven fact that when the ball is spread around we win.

Flip has a blueprint for success. It is documented and proven. Flip should only make slight tweaks. If he screws it up his employment with the Pistons will be very short.

wizard

If the Pistons starting 5 were stuck in Oz and had to ask the Wizard for wishes...what should they ask for?

Rip - triple double rip back in effect.
Big Ben - play like it's a contract year. dpoy
Chauncey - offensive aggressiveness in the other 3 quarters
Tayshaun - 3 point bombs like at kentucky
Rasheed - more free throws than 3's attempted

bench players

Darko - confidence to play own game. shoot the 3, perfect the jump hook, block shots, rebound strong, throw dimes, put up 30 against the knicks, cuss out lb in serbian if that's what they call the language over there
Dyess
- 6th man of the year
Delfino - cuss lb out in spanish against NY, offensive aggressiveness
Davis - accept role and playoff toughness and get ring
Arroyo - make the second team better
Hunter - remembers to only stop the other team from scoring
Evans - foul wade and ginobli real hard
dupree - foul wade and ginobli real hard
Max - foul any sf that wants to body tay real hard
Acker - run the nbdl
Amir - run the nbdl

Sadly I do not think you will see triple double threat Rip again. That was an LB thing. Prepare for the Wally Szcerbiak threat Rip.
