You are talking about shooting a jump shot over an all star nba player. With their reach and quickness i doubt you could get a good shot off, unless it was from outside the 3. After a while you would probably get tired as well and start jacking up some short shots. Thats my take anyways. Congrats to Ben for this award.

Re: Ben Wallace Defensive Player of the Year

I was thinking that if you sprinted away from Ben and threw up a fade away hook shot, that was going to be the best opportunity. It would really be demoralizing.

The good news is that he would have a hard time scoring on us.

Yeah, I'm sure the Average guy wouldn't have much of a problem scoring at will on the 4 time DPOY.

In a game of 5 on 5 i dont mark a guy extremely tight as he might lose me on cuts n screens. However, in a game of 1 on 1 i will step up on a player as i know his only option is to shoot the ball. So if Ben Wallace is guarding me 1 on 1 do you think he will be in my face? The answer is definately. Will he contest the shot? Of course. He will most likely block most my shots or at least alter them. On drives he has enough speed and reach to block them as well.

We are talking about a professional basketball player who has years of experience. Playing with your average ballers is not the same.

Good pics. Wood.
I'm wondering if coach thinks this award is a waste?

Ok, ok, in a one-on-one you can forget it. I probably couldn`t get a good shot off, and neither could most non-nba folks.
