The Quicken Loan Conspiracy

Since we all read the Detroit News Article about the Cavaliers owner is also founder/president whatever of Quick Loans/Rock Financial.

Is there a possibility that their may be a fix somewhere along the line.

For a clubto go from playing like champions to pretty much dropping the game is pretty unusual.

Stranger things have happened in sports.

Re: The Quicken Loan Conspiracy

It's all about the Benjamins sis. Dead Presidents. Moola. Cash Money.

I love the franchise, but it is a business, not a moral organization.

David Hall was overheard talking to Chauncey...
"If you miss a few bunnies we'll do your taxes for life"

The janitor at the Q was seen sneaking diet pills in Tayshaun's Gatorade.

Somehow Sheed ended up with red ants in his ankle wrap...

The scoreboard has been sending subliminal messages to Flip... "You don't need your bench... Delfino has the plague"

Re: The Quicken Loan Conspiracy

How can there be a conspiracy when 3 Cavs fouled out last game? James gets his calls, actually more so lack of calls as I saw him pick up his 8th in the late 3rd. But thats about it. Superstars get calls.

Did the Refs cause the Pistons to shoot under 40% the past 2 games? Did D.Hall call it in?

Ask yourself this. if this year is a conspiracy then how is it going to end? Are the Cavs going to get help for the next 15 years of James career? Stern will be pulled in front of a congressional hearing within a couple of years. He has to preserve the integrety of his sport no matter how much he may want whatever teams to advance.

Funny you say that, Pete Rose's last words were, "preserve the integrity of baseball". There is no lying in baseball.

I am from the old school, and if you are old enough to remember the payola scandal of the 50's early 60's, there were also a great deal of sports scandals, lotsand lots of compromising going on in the sports world. Sometimes you have to look outside the box, for example just look at the weapons of mass destruction controversy, hell, we're still looking for them.

Re: The Quicken Loan Conspiracy

Here is an idea that I heard some talking head raising a few weeks ago:

Do away with the fouling out rule.

A good alternative would be that it is a 1 shot technical for every foul a player commits after his 5th. That way, the Heat could leave Shaq in there when he has 9 fouls and just take the chance that another foul by him could cost them 3 points.

This would accomplish a few things. 1) Players/Coaches/Fans would not get so pissed every time a call goes against them, because it doesn't take a player out of the game. 2) Along those lines, it would allow coaches to keep stars in the game when they are in pseudo fould trouble... ie 2 in the 1st quarter, 4 in the 3rd quarter, etc. 3) That would make it harder to fix games for the refs b/c they would have to keep calling unreasonable fouls... vs just getting a certain player to sit on the bench with 2 quick calls as it is now.

I think it was Skip Bayliss (from Cold Pizza) that proposed the no-foul-out rule. I have an idea: If you want to avoid fouling out, how about play some good defense, move your feet instead, and stop hacking people?
