Don't count your chickens just yet. Game 7 is tied.

Dwyane Wade is quicker and a better ballhandler than James is. The Heat's personnel also won't allow Flop to get away with constant triple+ teaming on the perimeter.

What is it with you and the Flip hate? The Pistons won the series and a majority of it going 7 games is due to simple execution.

We cannot double team Shaq or Wade and leave one of them open. Got to stop white chocolate from coming down and popping one off the dribble.

Our defense of the three was good with only Donyell getting off. Will need to shut off both Posey and Walker from doing any damage outside the Arc. Wade is trying out his 3 point game too, so need to swat him before he gets confident in it.

This has sharpened our focus. It caused us to draw on our skills and resolve like few second round matchups will. Better yet it made us play the kind of defense we once made our calling card. It hasn't done much for my nerves but I think because everything had been relatively easy this was the right tonic for the Stones, going forward.

Dwayne likes to try to get fouled. He will jump to act like he is going to shoot or pass, but luckily Rip has figured him out and just lets him commit turnover after turnover. Wade needs Shaq to be effective against the Pistons. We should take advantage of the fact that Shaq and Mourning cannot run the floor. Oh yeah, we need to stop getting so cocky that we don't take one game at a time.

Re: How has the Cavs/James series helped the Pistons against the Heat

As much as I like LBJ, Wade is a tougher matchup. He has more playoff experience and more of an idea of what to do to beat the pistons than james did. No way Wade allows Lindsey Hunter throw his game off. I wonder if Lebron is asking himself, "Lindsey Hunter.....Who tha.....What tha...." wade knows us inside and out. This comes down to us ruling the boards again. All five players need to secure rebounds and make that a priority. I think they figured it out in the 2nd half of game 6 against Clev.....funny how we end up having to get back to basics in order to move forward. If we place a premium on boards and defense that will get us the uptempo offense we desire. Our frontcourt also needs to be ready to run the floor and take advantage of Miami's lack of frontcourt speed, Shaq and Zo are big, strong, and slow, make them pay.

Re: How has the Cavs/James series helped the Pistons against the Heat

Wade is more elusive than James, however James is much stronger than Wade, a much better defender and more of a matchup problem because James can find the open man anywhere on the court.
