Would you rather have Hunter or Payton? Not so clear cut is it?

I think folks are really over looking Derek Anderson too.

Lucic cut his hand in a fight with Michael Komisarek. "I'll be fine," he said. "(X-rays are) negative, but there's so many broken bones in there from before you can't really tell."

I think Shandon Anderson is pretty good too, but are all these players really good at D? Maybe they're good according to Miami standards, but everyone maybe except Zo wouldn't be that great of defenders on the Pistons.

I would still go Lindsey for strictly defense. Payton is the more consistent scorer. Paytons defense has slipped considerably IMO. I think Miami's perimeter defense is overall questionable and a potential area the Pistons can exploit. Just my 2 cents.

Larry Hughes is an extremely overrated defender. I won't go so far as to say he's a bad defensive player, but he's a gambler. He plays the passing lanes for steals, but can be lit up fairly easily. As for Varejao, he makes good rotations but also fouls almost constantly. Activity isn't necessarily quality.

Lebron vs Wade, I think LBJ is a better defensder.
I think Wade is overrated, too, but LeBron James is an absolutely horrible defensive player. I don't think this is even close. LeBron is one of the worst defensive starters in the NBA.

With the exception of Donyell Marshall and Eric Snow, the Cavs age percentage is much lower than Miami
I'll give you that, but they're not a young team. Only two players in the Cavs main rotation are on their rookie contracts. The others are veterans, and while they were working harder than Detroit for most of the series, I think it was just that - more effort, not fresher legs.

Re: Who plays the best defense Heat or Cavs

Man you guys are killing me. My cousin an avid Heat fan know they are in trouble because they can't play defense. Payton is not even close to the defensive stopper he used to be just ask him what chauncey did to him in the 04 Finals. Shaq is a non factor as far as i'm concerned on the defensive end. Posey and Mourning are good defensive players but remember guys the team that plays the best TEAM defensive ultimately wins series in the playoffs. We just need to stay focused on D. Micro you are depressing me man, jk, be more optimistic. GO Pistons!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Who plays the best defense Heat or Cavs

Miami could have a slightly better defensive unit... however the defensive matchups favor the Pistons playing Miami defense over Cleveland's... they have an awful perimiter defense which happens to be our strength.
Zo is only good from 8 ft in.... Posey is solid.
Jwill is a huge downgrade at PG which opens up several ops in the paint.

In this case the game plan is best to start out and then work in... once they have to step out of their comfort spots the inside is there for the taking... which means foul trouble for their bigs.
