2005 Heat Team or New Look Heat Team

The rematch of the 2005 ECF is upon us. With the Heat going down in 7 games to the Pistons last year Pat Riley decided to revamp his team, addding Posey, Gary Payton, Antoine Walker, Jason Williams, and others.

In the process he lost Eddie Jones, Keylon Dooling, Damon Jones, Rasual Butler. Riley is now coaching this team he put together and has admitted these changes were made especially for the Pistons.

Riley added that if the Heat doesn`t advance this year against the Pistons, the moves were a failure and HE MAY MAKE MORE CHANGES NEXT YEAR!

I personally think last years team was better defensively.

Does this present team or last years team have/had a better chance of beating the Pistons?

Re: 2005 Heat Team or New Look Heat Team

Last year's team definitely have a better chance in beating this year's pistons.

This year the Heat got older and lost a step or two on defense.

Eddie Jones was more consistent on offense & defense... also need to look at the long term effects... E.J.'s contract would have given the Heat a valuable trading chip this summer or his large salary would have come off the books soon.
If Riley would have done his homework he would know that JWill is Chauncey's beotch.
