People were saying that he was emerging onto the scene, that he'd be a focal point next season, instead of realizing that he was just taking advantage of mismatches.

In this series he's outmatched by a similarly athletic power forward like Antoine Walker and shut down by an excellent, similar-sized defender like James Posey. Without the favorable matchup, he fades back into the periphery on offense.

What is worrying is that he seemingly can't stop anyone. Walker was bulling his way to the hoop and shooting over him, and guards were dribbling around him like he wasn't there. He's not out of gas, but he just might be useless in this series.
Well, what say you after game two.

Pretty much the same. The only encouraging sign is that sometime between Games 1 and 2 he discovered his right hand.

Right hand huh ? Where I come from thats called growth, expanding your game, development.

I think you are missing the boat on Tay. He is as Dicky V would say a "prime time player". A career playoff standout. Prince is displaying a higher Bball IQ than CB, Rip or Sheed. He now recognizes how and when to pick his spots.

Sure there are some additional things to learn, but Tay is way ahead of the curve.

Of course it is, and I said - quote - an encouraging sign - end quote. That, as opposed to his anomalous offensive rebounding. If he is actually capable of dribbling with his right hand in the future, it will make him somewhat more difficult to guard.

As for the boat on Tay, whatever floats yours. All I can say is that I respectfully disagree.

Re: Prince running out of gas already?

Looks like AHB has not run out of gas! BUUUUUUURRRP!

Tay put the team on his back in the 4th quarter and carried them. If this is how he plays tired, I can only imagine how well he would play rested. He no longer looks overmatched physically, or lost as a wing player in the offense.

Lucic cut his hand in a fight with Michael Komisarek. "I'll be fine," he said. "(X-rays are) negative, but there's so many broken bones in there from before you can't really tell."

Re: Prince running out of gas already?

Let`s see, Flip was the coach of the EC All Stars, and 4 of the starting 5 were All Stars, excluding Tay of course.

What better time of they year for Tay to step up and perform in the post season on the way to a championship?

He may run out of gas, about the 3rd week in June, by then he could be MVP of the 2006 Finals!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Prince running out of gas already?

I saw a stat where the Piston are 16-0 or 16-1 when Tay scores more than 20. Why can't this team be a team anymore. We look like we're playing a pickup game up to 21.
