Himat, I did a search on "why" to find other why threads, per your advice. It didn't turn up anything. I too would like to know how to search for threads. Professorspawn is new, and I am still kind of new, and I'd like to know how to find subjects. Is there a way other than search forum to check?

Anyone else can answer too if they see this question.Thanks.

Re: Why?

We're obviously half a step slower in playoff games, because we are so predictable and players think too much over every movement during the game.
Predictable, with same core players for so many years it won't be difficult for opponent to figure out their next step. CB knows that every player knows that eventually they're currently playing in a mood of, say, it was written on Keyon Martin's left fore arm, check with it.

Re: why oh why?

Why am I more angry right now than I was when the Pistons were facing an actual elimination game against Cleveland in Game 6? Cleveland is a worse team than miami as well so why am I angrier right now then when we were sucking against the Cavs?

Himat, maybe because we haven't improved our play very much since then. It's hard to watch them underachieving again and again. Plus, we had the big expectation building Best Team in the NBA season. I keep thinking THAT team is going to show up in these playoffs and every time they don't, I get more angry than worried or sad. Can't understand, where did THAT team go? Was it fatally flawed for the playoffs? Or what? Like Microwave wrote on 5/18 we Pistons fans are presently engaged in The largest missing persons hunt in the history of sports fandom.

Actually, I think it might be for two reasons: first, because you probably weren't entirely surprised to see the Pistons underachieving against a lesser team since they have tended in the past to get up for better teams and so now against Miami we expect them to bring their best game; second, because maybe you weren't really afraid that they would lose that elimination game against Cleveland, so that in a sense, it was as though less was at stake.

Of course, you might have been asking rhetorical questions...

Re: why oh why?

Because we were falsely believing that this squad is head and shoulders above the competition.
Truth is this team has a lot of warts.
Add parity to the above suggestions
