Re: LB anyone?

No, the players didn't like him when things were going downhill. It wasn't just a management thing. I don't know if it's just an issue of replacing Flip. IMO something happened during the Cavs series from which this team never really recovered. I would love to here the post-analysis on this playoff run.

I'd argue that it started even before the playoffs did. The rumours were there and the way this team as been tanking is only serving to validate those rumours.

It should be a very interesting offseason...

Re: LB anyone?

You mean bring him back?

No, his run in Motown is finished.

In any case, this season isn't over yet, but hypothetically, if we do bow out to Miami, I wonder how Laimbeer would fare.

I don't believe that. It's why some of us freaked out when LB was moving closer to the door.

You don't know what you have until it is gone, and despite folks putting a lot of faith in the players, some people recognized that it takes a great coach to take a team, make them play unselfish (style) ball and win a title. Those coaches are not easily replaced.

I'm not saying that LB should have stayed after it all went down (which I still believe we hardly got the real story on), but you can't just plug any coach in and assume greatness.

Lucic cut his hand in a fight with Michael Komisarek. "I'll be fine," he said. "(X-rays are) negative, but there's so many broken bones in there from before you can't really tell."

Re: LB anyone?

Can't vote on the poll as I think there is something more than just Flip that's going on. Don't know what. He hasn't been a good playoff coach and the players have been completely opposite to Pistons character. The truth lies somewhere in between. I just refuse to admit that the Pistons could play so badly over a course of 8 playoff games without something being amiss.

Re: LB anyone?

I say no to bringing back LB, however, whoever would become the new coach; if it`s this same bunch, will need to be someone who is respected and not afraid to call someone out when it`s needed.

That narrows the list quite a bit.

Micro, ASB was speaking about the players not liking LB at the end of it all. Not my conjecture.
