Re: game 4 officating..

I counted about 3-4 bad calls against the Pistons which I attributed to the good old "Home Cooking". You know the refs getting influenced by the crowd. The rest of the calls were Pistons grabbing Heat players arms as they blew by them on the way to the hoop.

One legit gripe is the way the refs changed how they called Shaq. Shaq got away with things that he was not able to in the previous games. This is where the coach is supposed to catch it and adjust and there is no law against having a 4th big ready to go that had actually played enough during the season to be in top shape and make a difference.

If the Pistons had won game 1 like they were supposed to then we could have absorbed a game like this on the road.

Re: game 4 officating..

This is the mirror image of the Lakers finals a few seasons ago.

The Lakers were the HUGE favouries, the Pistons dominated every aspect of the games, huge free throw attempt disparity, the Lakers kept complaining about the bad calls.

The fact is, there have been some bad calls in the past 2 series that have hurt the Pistons - no question about it. But the calls will benefit the aggressor, and that has been the Heat and Cavs. There is NO WAY that the refs or the injuries should be blamed for this teams horrible play. There are WAY too many other factors that the team CAN control, that they just haven't executed on.

A team that shoots this poorly, plays this lackadaisical, underestimates their opponent and over estimates their abilities, doesn't play/finish hard, complains about every call/non call, doesn't spread the floor or make the extra pass, lets their opponent blow by them for easy scores and to get to loose balls and is outcoached in every single game doesn't deserve to win.

The better team may not be winning this series, but the team playing better sure is.

Re: game 4 officating..

It was pretty bad on monday. The thing that pisses me off is SHAQ getting away with everything. There was one play in the first quarter where he used his off arm and shoved ben aside and dunked. I was screaming at the TV. That should always be a foul, no matter how intimidating a player is to an official.
They give calls to Wade all the time because he cries all the time. Every time we touch him, there is a foul. One play in the second half where Wade was trapped in the right corner, jumped up and lost the ball in the air. NOBODY touched him. They called a foul. Not to mention that he should be called for more offensive fouls as well. Stop floppin' wade.

47freethrows to 22 freethrows. I dont care who you are, something is wrong there.
