There is no crying in Basketball

Go to the May News thread, check out roscoe's entry for tonight (5/30), scan the Need4Sheed bit, click the article header to go to N4S to download the Pistons intro video (great for out of towners) and get pumped up.

Even if you think the Pistons have let you down (co-signed), even if you think the Pistons can't beat the indomitable and Jordan-esque DWade , even if you think that Shaq is the greatest center of all time for killing the Pistons (do you see where I am going with this?) tomorrow night could be the last game of the season.

For 5 months.

FIVE MONTHS.

Don't complain about the slow summer if you don't make the most of what could potentially be the last time we see this team until fall.

GET UP GET UP GET UP GET UP GET UP GET UP GET UP

AND

GET
DOWN!

Re: There is no crying in Basketball

No crying just disappointed. I hope the boys pull a Game 5 win and take it back to Miami. No matter what the logical half of my brain is thinking, my emotional half still holds out a glimmer of hope that the Pistons win in 7. I can't stand the Heat or Shaq. If they do get by us I hope they lose in the Finals.

Man if we only can get game 5 that would really swing the pressure back on Miami. The Heat will be comming out at full force to try and make sure that will not happen.

7-game series are strange things. A game 5 win will change the whole complexion of this series. 1-3 is awfull and high odds against but 1 win makes it 2-3 which is very feasable. Throw out 1-3 because then it would be 2-3. But you have to get game 5. Do the Pistons have it in them?

Re: There is no crying in Basketball

Anakin,

I am rocking this video non-stop on repeat for the last 20 mins with my headphones on.

Final Countdown always brought tears to my eyes, but tonight, I'm grooving on it. Like rocket fuel.

This is not BS false bravado. I am not trying to promote N4S or doing this as a forum function (rallying the troops).

Simply put, let's bring our best game faces for what could be the last of this season. For all of the recent bad, there was a lot of good earlier, and to write off this whole year and sulk, cry, complain, well I AIN'T HAVING IT.

I will sleep with a smile tonight with visions of trey bombs and shotblocks in my head. I will wake up tomorrow with a smile on my face when I logon on to the forum (which is what I do before ANYTHING else).

I'm pissed and disappointed too, but I'm not going to let it eat me up. No way, no how. BRING IT ON MIAMI.

EAT'EM UP AND SPIT EM OUT BOYS.

Exactly what I was thinking, one game at a time. 2-3 looks a heck of a lot better than 1-3. The Pistons have to will themselves to win. I think they will take Game 5.

I'm 100% with ya. I, and I am sure, all the Piston slappies will go down with the ship if it so happens. I am looking forward to Game 5. No more sulking, it's time to GO TO WORK. It isn't over until there the clock reads 0:00 in the 4th.

here here Anakin...anybody but the Heat in the finals would be fine with me. If we had lost to the Cavs, I would rather see them representing the east than the Heat. Since it is too late for the Cavs, then I must put my faith in the Pistons to do what they do best and pull another rabbit out of their hats or in this case their headbands

Micro I downloaded the intros and me and the wife grooved to it for about 5 mins.. Allways loved that Final Countdown tune. The last time I actually saw a live Piston intro was back in February when Arroyo was there and he gave a mean side step and high five to spiffy up the intros. Sure wish he was here now to provide some type of spark... One other thing when Flip is introduced in this piece, my wife asked why was he in the dark?? ... ... All I could say if we only knew, then we may not be in this current mess ... Any way thanks for the link.

100% with y'all buddies.
Being Pistons fan is doggone lonely here.
I would like to have half a day off and watch the game at home but I just can't.

Re: There is no crying in Basketball

I am with you all the way Microwave.

This game five, we will do it for the GIPPER.

After all the season is not over yet. The pistons may find a phone booth, go inside it and talley ho, they are transformed back to the old Pistons. (ala Underdog for you young pups).

Thanks Microwave, YOU PUMP ME UP, HOORAH. I am going to bring out all the pistons parapanelia (sp) tonight. Gonna get out the old bad boys tee shirt that has a zillion holes, the old pistons logo that I got back in 1972, my Marvin "Bad News Barnes & Bob Lanier jerseys and the old pistons banner before we move to the pontiac silversome in 1978.

I am going to bring out all the stops, NO MERCY.

Lets get this game 5.

Five Months without being able to see a Pistons game, no matter how great, good, ok, bad, poor, or indifferent they play?

I'm not ready to go into Pistons withdrawal for the year. It's not a pretty sight.

We've just got to "earn the right to keep playing."

P.S. Is it really five whole months? I thought it was only three, like summer vacation when you're a kid. Damn.
