Re: How often are you at the Palace?

Never,
Because I'm here in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
Two more years, as I get retired from my existing job, would like to make a trip to your country, to hang around some black majority places and Detroit will be a must.

Never because i am continents away - down under. One day i would like to travel to the states and catch a pistons home game. I'll probably need someone to take me around as well, any volunteers?

I'm on the wrong side of the river, but if not me, I'm sure someone here would be happy to help you find your way.

I don't go to games (anymore) because of

Game Chat obligations
Traffic
Border Crossing since 9/11 makes me uncomfortable
Excessive concession pricing
Bathroom lineups (pet peeve)

My last professional Detroit Sports events were Lion's games about 2 years ago. That also came to an end.

I like being able to watch the games at home. It's low stress and comfortable. Mind you, if I could afford seats in a luxury box at the Palace, I would be there. That sounds really comfortable too!

Lucic cut his hand in a fight with Michael Komisarek. "I'll be fine," he said. "(X-rays are) negative, but there's so many broken bones in there from before you can't really tell."

Re: How often are you at the Palace?

Sigh. I have never been to the Palace because I live in Seattle area and I just became a Pistons fan during playoffs 2004. I have been to two Pistons away games in Seattle. They lost the first, but this season my fav Piston Rip shot the game winning shot in the last second of play!

Anyway, a serious dream of mine is to see the Pistons play at home at the Palace. While others of my family are saying, wouldn't it be great to go to Paris, or Las Vegas, or other more popular destinations, I am saying "All I want to do is see the Pistons win a tough game at the Palace of Auburn Hills."

Every time I hear them say "It's another sold out game at the Palace of Auburn Hills" I get all goosebumpy and I just want to be there once.

Re: How often are you at the Palace?

I live in the DC area now and I make it to The Palace at least twice a year to see a Piston game. My mom bless her heart, just wants to know if my plane landed, how far am I away from the Palace, and what time will I be home.

Parking is a mess, unlike the Verizon Center here in DC where you can take the metro (similar to the subway) and get off right next to the arena and avoid the traffic hassles.

Re: How often are you at the Palace?

It opened 8 years after I moved from Detroit, but I did visit my cousin back in August of 2004 after the banner was raised and we drove by 4 Championship Drive.

The last Piston home game I attended was sometime in the early 80's at the Joe, and prior to that at Cobo in te 70's

I have seen the Pistons play in person out here in LA at the Forum , Sports Arena, and the Staples center at least 15 times in the past 25 years which includes the four championship games in 87-88 series when the Lakers and refs stole the trophy and Mr. Dantley was deprived of what Mr. Aguirre got the next two years. I watched the 1989 & 2004 championship games at home with other local Piston fans here in Cali

Wish we could all get together as a group in downtown DEEEtroit and the Palace to celebrate ring # 4, but I know I can't make it.
