If we go on to win the Championship, do we trade any of the starting 5?

If the answer is no, then we should probably not fall into the trap of trading them if we lose. As long as we don't think that we lost because we weren't as good. This team is good enough to win it all. They have played like crap in the last 3 weeks and still have a legitimate chance at advancing to the Finals. If we play well, we can't be beat.

Miami rearranged the furniture last year, and now they are sitting in the exact same situation, except that they had a worse record in the regular season. Are they better? Not really.

Let's buck the trend and keep the best starting 5 in the NBA intact. Dumars should force Flipper to pace himself during the regular season and develop some killers off of the bench.

yeah, bench development was a major disappointment. If anyone got serious burn and sucked you could play the talent card but guys generally looked good in their meager stints and....nothing.

Lindseys the best thing we have to a game changer and he was out most of the season. They should have developed 1 more.

Are u guys forgetting that we have 3 pretty good rookies who were also good soldiers riding the pine. They got injected with good DNA and we need stop being like the Tigers of the 90's and develop our rookies. I see all three being very significant next season...or Flip WILL be fired!

Re: Next Year-Flip's back, overhauled roster

I am OK with that. Flip needs to become a better playoff coach and I think the playoff experience this season, with this team and Joe, will help him get a handle on what it means to coach a winning team. The expectations of following LB and taking over the reigns of a championship club are very high and it is a pressure situation that very few coaches can handle. I felt that Flip was a little overwhelmed in getting handed a roster full of veterans who had established their own norms and that he wasn't able to understand when to stand down or put his foot down. Consequently he took the easier route of standing down because the players made it look like they can do it all without coaching. Sure seemed that way during the regular season. There is a fine line to being a good coach or an over bearing one. Hopefully he will become more integrated with this team next season.

The team itself needs to take a look in the mirror as to how they individually performed and behaved. There is no excuse calling out your coach in public. Very disappointed that players like Ben chose to resort to this type of action, more so because he is the co-captain. I am sure Joe has had a talk with the players and made note of their behavior. Effort has to be 100% at all times, whether you like the coach/situation or not. Your are being paid to do a job and on a personal basis work ethic and inetgrity should be maintained at all costs. As we all know Joe is high on the TEAM concept.

Joe needs to review this roster to make it more competitive. This playoffs has pointed out areas where the Pistons are deficient.

And Lindsey may or may not retire, but he hasn't made it clear just yet.
Sure

What about Philly for Sheed. This is home for him and he loves philadelphia.

Only question is who can we get in return that can fill the void. I will take Dalembert & Willie Green, I also would take Iverson.

I surely hope Ben's going with the high priced agent is an indication of him wanting to jet and/or play hardball.
